PneuDrive Challenge – Stellenbosch Score a Close Win Over TUT and WITS After two intensive days of judging the panel of judges concluded and agreed that Stellenbosch University’s Sunnyside Packer was the winning entry. The Air Bot design from the Tshwane University of Technology was a very close second and the Automated Restaurant from WITS placed third. The Blitz Burger from the University of Johannesburg was commended for their innovative ideas.

New Service and Repair Centre for SEW Eurodrive Johannesburg: A new strategy which kicked off during the latest reces-sion has been embraced by SEW Eurodrive for the long term. During the recession the company picked up on a new trend. More service and repairs were needed. Units were often not replaced due to budget limitations. Furthermore there was a big emphasis on training as many companies had scaled down on their workforce. Certain individuals now had to learn additional skills in terms of maintenance and repairs on units.
